The Natural Living Expo

Hello Everyone!
So for today I wanted to share with you a fun and exciting experience I had a few weeks ago. On November 11th, I attended the 11th Annual Natural Living Expo in Marlborough Massachusetts. I was invited to go by a friend back in September, so I had been looking forward to it for a while. I got there first thing in the morning at 8am. There was a buzz in the air... with lots of people setting things up and getting ready for the big weekend for all the fun stuff the expo had planned for us. The first 200 people got a free little bag with a magazine and bottle of water. Not the "goodie bag" I expected, but hey it was free!

The expo was held in a different parts of a hotel. One section held over 1000 exhibits and a tent with vegan and healthy food carts and eating area. Then you had to take a shuttle to the section where the workshops were being held. I first checked out all of the incredible exhibits that were set up. They were from different vendors and shops from all over Massachusetts. They had lots of crystals, essential oils, massage, organic beauty and bath products, vitamins and supplements, psychic readers and healers, and other types of holistic health and wellness exhibits. My friend who initially invited me wasn't able to come to so I went by myself, which was fine. I got my back adjusted, I sampled some aloe gel, sniffed some fabulous Young Living essential oils, ate some vegan tacos, and shopped beautiful crystals and gemstones. They also had a tent where you went in line and just picked up a bunch of free samples. I got some tea, some reiki stickers, Bach's vitamin water enhancer, mints, and other little treats.

Then when the workshops began, I headed over to the other part of the hotel in the shuttle they provided. They had a bunch of different speakers at the same time of different topics in different rooms continuously throughout the day, so you could pick whichever workshop you wanted to attend and then hop on over to whichever next one you were interested in. The first one I attended was about setting boundaries in your relationships. The speaker went over what goes on in our head and energy when we have our boundaries down. Then she had us all do a tapping method to try and clear those energies and patterns. It was interesting! When that finished, I hopped on over to the Qi Gong workshop. I have heard of qi gong, but didn't really know what it was so I wanted to check it out. This workshop was colorful because all types of people where there- mature, young, middle aged, men, women, children- and we were all doing the 'wax on, wax off' move (like in the Karate Kid). The speaker was funny and I learned a lot about Qi Gong and how it works (and got a mini workout!).
After the Qi Gong workshop, I went to one where a beautiful Indian woman in a turquoise sari did a meditation. She did some amazing healing and clearing work, that I could feel in my heart. Her workshop was about relationships and soulmates. She understood the powerful energy of the day, as it was 11/11 at the 11th annual expo. She channeled that energy in her meditation for healing. She had us rearrange where we were sitting so we felt energetically comfortable. This was my favorite workshop. Unfortunately the photos I took didn't come out well at all. I gave her a hug afterwards and thanked her for her beautiful healing.
Later I actually ran into a new friend that I met, and we spent the rest of the expo together. We went to the food tent where we got some fresh made pomegranate and lemon lime juice that was very delicious. We did some more shopping and then went back to the workshops where we attended an essential oil and yoga class. They gave us a free little vital of DoTERRA peppermint essential oil that smelled wonderful and taught us about the oils. Then the time came for the expo for the day to end. It was also going on the next day, and free admittance since the one time fee applied to the whole weekend. I would have loved to come back that Sunday, but I had to go to work.

In conclusion, I am so happy that I put the time aside for myself to do something that I really wanted to do. I spent the day having fun and just enjoying the present moment, and indulging in my passions with so many other liked minded people, it was a blast! I just wished I had brought more money! There were so many cool things I wanted to buy. But I got some great photos and had fun experiences and learned a lot. If you ever have such an expo in your area, then I strongly recommend you go. It was definitely worth it. Thank you so much for hanging out with me and I hope you enjoyed reading. Until next time, Love and Light,
Rebecca
